Jackpot! The party discovered a cache of treasure left behind by the smuggler who once resided in Rose Point Manor. Additionally, they took some time to learn about the items found in the Shoanti tomb prior to the near TPK a few sessions ago and those taken from Lamm. Oh, and talk planning on what to do next continued (and continued) and a good bit of discussion on how to divvy up the loot. As a result, this is going to be a rather short journal since I’m not going to go into detail regarding all of the magic items the party has found.
Everyone was in attendance, but Jen had to bow out early AND before the loot was divvied up. Although I do not think there are any specific spoilers for elements of the Curse of the Crimson Throne adventure path, there are potential spoilers regarding some of the movers and shakers of Korvosa. As usual, my GM comments are in italics.

- The group discusses their next steps. Some with Lamm present and some with him off out of earshot.
- Lamm is unable to provide much detail on the layouts of the various locations where the Gray Maidens are being created. He does, of course, know a good bit about the Hospice of the Blessed Maiden and has been in some of the front rooms of at Korvosa Mercy, but he has not been at the other locations.
- Lamm assumes that each probably has labs beneath, much like the temple under the Blessed Maiden.
- Lamm reiterates that he has not tested his control over the Gray Maidens that he has created with his blood. He is a little more confident after seeing the success with using Darcy’s blood and her control over the trio of Darcy’s Maidens created with said blood.
- He does not know how the Maidens who are tied to a Captain and ultimately the Queen will respond to his commands if he attempts to do so.
- When questioned about the Gray Maidens who had been here in his lab earlier, Lamm shares that they will likely be back within a day or two.
- If Darcy’s Maidens are turned over to the captain of these Maidens, the trio will likely be taken in the troops and assigned as needed. He can make no guarantee or really any information on where that assignment might be.
- The group decides that they are going to use Darcy’s Maidens in some sort of attack on the production locations, specifically the Hospice of the Divine Matron.
- They hope to get the Queen’s attention and have Lamm somehow lure her out to discuss the “malfunction” of these Maidens and a potential fix for it.
- They also hope that they can kill or capture Varra Ornelos, the person who is creating the Maidens at the Divine Matron and the Headmistress of the Sanctuary. Pop, in particular, is keen on this as he spent a brief time as a child at the Sanctuary.

- While Isabella maintains guard over a restrained Lamm (Jen had left by now), the rest of the party starts to search for the treasure cache that Lamm had teased them about. The group had no intention whatsoever of agreeing to his bargain to give him more women to experiment upon in exchange for the cache location.
- The manor above the cellar was completely destroyed and in ruins. The city was pretty quiet (Queen’s curfew plus civil war and all). Nothing of value on the surface.
- Exploration of the cellars turned up no treasure cache. The group did find a sinkhole and, at low tide, a passage that appears like it will lead to Conqueror’s Bay via boat or simply underwater to the bay at other times.
- The wine cellar still has some vintage bottles as well.
- In the chambers and passages beneath the cellar, the group eventually found a secret room. After getting past a magical trap, they were able to get the treasure.
- A pretty good stash with a few hundred gold and a number of magical items…plus the magical sword from one of the creatures that they had fought previously but had not yet examined. Here’s a list of the treasure:

- 2 Potions of Tongues
- Power Stone w/ 10 Power Points
- Scroll of Slumber
- 5 Arrows (Accurate, AP 1)
- Earring of Bear’s Endurance (boost Vigor one die)
- 2 Potions of Healing
- 2 uses of Grave Dust
- Duelist’s Blade
- Pouch with three Exploding Stones
- Assassin’s Armor
- Giantskin Cloak
- Boots of Elvenkind
- Cloak of Elvenkind
- Shatterspike (sword)
- Wand of Bolt (off Lamm)
- Belt of Physical Might (Vigor one die–off Lamm)

I believe that is pretty much where we called it a night.
I think I got all the treasure listed. If I missed any, I’m sure the players will let me know. Many of the items are from the SW Fantasy Companion. A handful are my conversions from Pathfinder items or found in the SW Pathfinder Curse of the Crimson Throne adventure path.
We’ve all agreed that the group will take some action in the next session. I don’t mind all the discussions. At some point though, they need to act on it all knowing…as I’m sure they all do…that things will not go exactly as planned as it never does for anyone, right? Right?
