I particularly like the “Don’t Fall For These RPG Arguments” article and have to say that I’d like to say I won’t fall for these arguments in my campaigns (but you never know). Here, in reverse order (as in the article), are the five arguments…go check out the full article for details.
Argument 5: “Thats not how it would happen in real life!”
Argument 4: “Yes, my character is single, an orphan, and has no real attachments.” (I really like this one…what’s the point in even playing if you’re going to be like this).
Argument 3: “I am not being a jerk, I am playing in character!” (Goes hand in hand with not allowing “disruptive character representation” from taking a game down the crapper).
Argument 2: “That’s not what is written in the rules!”
