That kind of game simply won't work with the current group of players. I'm going to back away from Spellguard. I've read through it and it just doesn't "fire" my imagination enough to really want to do it. Instead, I'm going to piece together a campaign using (and heavily modifying) some Living Forgotten Realms adventures (Slivers of Eaerlann is the current one), Scales of War, and various other adventure conversions and home-brew stuff in a fashion similar to what I had done with Red Hand of Doom, Temple of Elemental Evil, and various adventures to create the <a href="http://fatratgames.net/tally/Downloads/PCC.pdf" rel="nofollow">Company H campaign</a> (I bet Dave, who played Sequel, hopes there will be more spider "women").
